Join professional photographer David Broadbent for a morning of wetland wildlife photography at Cotswold Water Park.

Rich with wildlife, Whelford Pools is the perfect location to learn how to capture the beauty of wildlife on camera.

Winter and early spring sees waders grace the scrapes; wildfowl cover the lake and warblers among the reeds; a wealth of wildlife and landscapes with which to experiment and learn a life-long skill.

With over 30 years’ experience in the field, David Broadbent will demonstrate various professional techniques and equipment. Learn composition techniques and how to get the best out of the equipment you have to get the shots you want. Part of a small group, there’ll be plenty of opportunity for one-to-one time with our expert. Come away with the confidence to photograph all kinds of wildlife and a selection of images to treasure.

The day will be spent in and around the two hides at Whelford Pools, one of which is accessible to wheelchair users and people with limited mobility – please contact for more details. There is a car park at the site, where David will meet participants prior to the course. Warm drinks will be included. Please note, the hides will be particularly cold at this time of year so please come suitably dressed.

Participants will need to bring their own camera – compact or DSLR – and David will demonstrate and recommend various professional equipment that may be of additional use.

David Broadbent is a professional editorial photographer with over 30 years’ experience in the field.
