Meet the newt family.

Learn the life cycle and habitat of our native newts for an hour before sunset as we tour the range of ponds, old and new, around Laymoor Quag Nature Reserve in the Forest of Dean . After sunset search by torch light for the rare and protected Great Crested Newt. Handling of some common newts will be available under supervision of Great Crested Newt Project Officer Esther Collis.

Please bring a bright torch, warm clothes and suitable footwear for wet, uneven ground.

Children of all age very welcome with supervising adults".
