Adopt Me! | Dormouse £10
The dormouse has become extinct in seven counties in the UK, but we havea stronghold here in Gloucestershire that needs protecting if it is to avoid the same fate. The Trust and our volunteers help the dormouse by managing habitats for them, putting up dormouse nesting boxes and regularly monitoring their progress. |
Barn Owl £20
Barn owls are an unfortunate victim of intensified farming. They prefer open farmland to hunt over and old hollow deadwood and barns on which to roost. These are features that are often removed from our landscape, having a devastating effect on the barn owl. The Trust works with farmers to conserve suitable habitats for them and there prey of small mammals. |

Adopt Me! | Water Vole £15
The water vole is the UK's fastest declining mammal, suffering an incredible 83% decline in the last 20 years. They suffer a bad reputation as on a first glance, they look similar to a brown rat but there are many distinguishing feature of this native vole. Find out more about our Water Vole Recovery Project. |
Brown Hare £15
Hares thrive on open farmland but due to the steady change in farming practise, this type of habitat has become more scarce and hence, the number of hares has also declined. We do have a stronghold here in the Severn Vale and we work with landowners to promote hare-friendly farming methods. See our Severn Vale Living Landscape Project for more information. |
