Stock Watcher

Location:

Snows Farm,

Three miles north east of Stroud at the end of Steanbridge Lane in Slad. Please note Snows Farm (house) is privately owned, Stroud
We are looking for volunteers who can spare a few hours a week to monitor livestock at Snows Farm nature reserve.

Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust is working with a local grazier to manage the grass on the Snows Farm nature reserve.

They need to be checked on a regular basis to make sure they are all present, that they have access to sufficient food and water and to look for any health issues. The animals are hardy traditional breeds and will be spending the winter on the reserve.

Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and the graziers are looking for individuals who would be interested in checking stock on a regular basis. Commitment does not need to be significant and could be once a week or fortnightly while out for a walk on the reserve. More information on the role can be provided on request.
