Candidates standing for election at the 2017 AGM

The following candidates are standing for election at the AGM on 25th November 2017:

David Jones

An engineer by profession, I have held a number of senior positions in the energy sector, both as a strategic and financial investor, most recently at Allianz, leading its renewable energy investment platform. My personal interests include walking, wildlife conservation and small scale farming. Having grown up in Gloucestershire and living in the county most of my life, I am passionate to conserve its wonderful natural heritage.

I am seeking to join the Board of Trustees as I hope that my experience of management and governance practice in both the industrial and financial sectors may be of relevance and value. The sound direction of the Trust is essential as it grows and continues to do its valuable work and I very much hope to play my part in tackling the challenges ahead.

Jane Furze

I worked for Cheltenham based multinational Kraft Foods for over 20 years as a marketing and communications professional. Since leaving Kraft I have worked predominantly in the charity and public sectors, expanding my marketing expertise to include event leadership and fundraising. I have held Director and CEO roles at Cheltenham Festivals, have run RHS Malvern Spring Festival and am currently Director of Public Relations at The University of Warwick. In my spare time I enjoy walking, gardening and reading.

My father is a lifelong wildlife lover with a great and wide-ranging knowledge and having put up some resistance in my teenage years have followed in his footsteps.

I live near Stow- on- the Wold and Gloucestershire has been my home for almost 30 years. I am keen to offer my professional experience to play a part in conserving this beautiful county for generations to come
