Remember A Charity Week

Thriving local landscapes filled with flourishing ecosystems, rich with wildlife and protected rare habitats for all to love and enjoy. What will your legacy be?

By leaving a gift in your Will to Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust your legacy will be natures recovery and its thriving future.

Monday 11 September to Sunday 17 September is Remember A Charity Week - The aim of the week is to highlight that anyone can leave a legacy gift and pass on something wonderful once their loved ones are taken care of.

Every gift in every Will, however large or small, makes a difference to your local wildlife.

Did you know 8% of Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust’s current income comes from gifts in Wills? These legacies are hugely important in funding the work at Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and are already doing wonderful things.

In recent years, such gifts have helped Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust manage and purchase nature reserves, reintroduce and protect individual species, restore wildlife sites and help more people have a deeper connection with nature – but there is clearly so much more crucial work to be done.

If you decide to leave a gift for the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, after your family and friends have been taken care of, you’ll be passing on something wonderful. Your gift will be used wherever it will have the greatest impact on the conservation of nature. Or, if there’s a species or area of our work that you’re particularly passionate about, you can speak to one of our legacy advisers about how your gift could help support this, or similar work in the future.

There are some things that you can be certain of, as you consider leaving a gift to the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust:

  • We would never expect you to prioritise our work over your personal and family relationships. We would only ask you to consider us after such decisions about your Will have already been made.
  • We will never ask you about the size or type of gift if you decide to support our work this way. Every gift large or small makes a tangible difference in fighting for a wildlife rich future.
  • We will always respect your right to privacy. You never have to tell us your intentions if you do not wish to and any data you provide us is stored in line with GDPR regulations.
  • There is no binding commitment to us. When making a pledge we understand that your circumstances may chance and there might be a time when you need to take us out of your Will.
  • Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust is proud to be a local leader in the protection of the county’s  wildlife and wild places. You can trust us to use your gift wisely and in line with your wishes.
