Visitor Gifting

What is visitor gifting?

Visitor Giving is a way of offering visitors to your business, the opportunity to give a little something back to looking after the places they love. It’s a way of tapping into that natural desire to help and a mechanism for collecting those small contributions which, collectively, add up to something really quite significant!

How can I collect money?

There are many methods used by businesses to collect visitor donations. From old-style donation boxes that sit on your counter tops, collections at special events or activities, providing a portion of your ticket sales or simple opt-in, opt-out options on your booking forms. Whatever you choose, we are here to help. What's most important to us is that you and your staff believe in the scheme and are happy to encourage your visitors to get involved.

The Roost Glamping has supported Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust from the very beginning. During our initial development, I turned to them for guidance and strategies to help me create the wildlife haven The Roost is today. It has been a complete joy creating wildflower meadows as well as native hedgerows and ponds where previously there was only builders' rubbish & weeds. Within a year this barren field was teaming with wildlife & biodiversity. It goes to show that with our care & protection, wildlife can thrive. We promote the Trust's work with all our guests and ask them to make a donation, which I then match fund. It's our way of saying thank you for all their outstanding work.
