Community Action

Individuals and community groups are vital to our work.

We believe that everyone in Gloucestershire should be able to enjoy thriving countryside and wildlife-rich towns. There are a number of ways we can bring you closer to your local wildlife.

What we offer community groups

Our community wildlife team and volunteers are here to help you get closer to nature. Whether you're a WI or a Brownie, in the Scouts or the Rotary we have something to suit you.

If you're a WI, Rotary, Probus or local community group you can do your bit to step up for wildlife.

Request a talk

Our expert staff and volunteers are bursting with knowledge, and their enthusiasm is contagious. Request a talk, and you never know what you might discover.

Visit a Nature Reserve

There's no better way to connect with nature than to immerse yourself in it. We can give you walk maps so you can organise your own visit, or one of our team can lead a walk for you.

As a charity, we're always in need of funding to continue our work. By organising a fundraising event, not only are you helping by raising money, but you are also helping us to share our love of nature and the importance it holds within our communities.

Donate your skills

Turn your passion for woodworking into bird boxes for your local nature reserve, share your local knowledge and lead guided walks, or use your presentation skills to enthral a group and become a volunteer speaker.

Whatever your skill and however much time you have to give, we are always grateful.

What we offer children’s groups

Are you involved in a youth club, Brownies, Scouts, Cubs or Guides? Bring your group to one of our nature reserves for wild play, exploration and learning.

We have a team of skilled staff and volunteers who can lead hands-on learning to reconnect children with nature.
