Our Schools Progamme

If you are a school in Gloucestershire we have a range of ways for you to get involved and learn in a fun and stimulating environment.

Our curriculum linked outdoor education programme is available at many of our fantastic nature reserves, in local green spaces or in your school.

Primary Schools

Our Primary Schools Programme includes workshops linked directly to Science and History curriculum units at EYFS, Key Stage 1 and 2. They also provide more creative ways of learning, which will enable you to teach Literacy and Maths in engaging ways following your immersive nature experience. All workshops are hands-on, cross-curricular, tailored to the needs of schools and teachers, and delivered by experienced education staff and volunteers.

Secondary Schools

We would be delighted to send out one of our subject specialists to your school or welcome your field trip at a number of our important nature reserves. We also offer a programme of practical learning for students of schools within Gloucester, Tewkesbury and Cheltenham - Our Bright Future.

Please note that Our Bright Future is close to full capacity but do please contact us to discuss how we would be able to work together.

Colleges and University

We work closely with a number of further and higher education establishments. Our programme is delivered by our knowledgeable staff and volunteers and can be tailored to your students’ needs and units of work. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

Please contact us to find out about our fees. GWT is a charity; any surplus generated by the education programme goes back into the programme or goes directly to the conservation of wildlife.
