Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust's Annual Primary Schools' Wildlife Quiz is open to all Primary Schools in Gloucestershire
Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust's Annual Primary Schools Wildlife Quiz has been running for 37 years, since 1975.
The quiz runs on a tournament basis with the first rounds starting in February, and concluding with the County Final being held at our HQ: The Conservation Centre at Robinswood Hill Country Park in Gloucester in July.
The county is divided into eight geographical areas for the first three rounds and then the area champions compete for a place in the final.
In 2011 engaged 115 Gloucestershire Schools, and 690 students between the ages of 8 and 11.
The three finalists in 2011 were Longney Church of England, Aylburton Church of England and North Nibley Church of England Primary School. Longney Church of England Primary School won the title of Wildlife Quiz Champions In 2011.
All primary schools in Gloucestershire are invited to enter and will automatically receive details around November of each year.
It is entirely coordinated and run through the dedication and hard work of volunteers.
