If like us you've received a calendar for Christmas you'll be busy filling it with dates of family and friends birthdays and planning summer adventures and holidays.

We are busy at Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust planning lots of events to share Gloucestershire's amazing wildlife with you and you may want to write the dates on your calendar! There are already a few advertised on the events calendar but the majority are published at the beginning of March when our Spring magazine is sent out to members, but we couldn't resist sharing a few dates with you so you've got plenty to look forward to this year!

  • On the 19th/20th March there are guided walks through the wild daffodils of Oxenhall near Newent. Known as the Golden Triangle this corner of Gloucestershire was the home of the Dymock Poets who were inspired by the yellow fields.
  • 30th March is the Easter Eggstravaganza at Robinswood Hill Country Park - free entry to the park with a small charge for some of the family activities.
  • Open Farm Sunday takes place at Greystones Farm nature reserve in Bourton-on-the-Water on the 5th June, come and see the robotic milker which provides local farmer Simon Weaver with plenty of milk to make Single Gloucester organic cheese.
  • On the 12th June there is a once-a-year opportunity to see the very rare Badgeworth buttercup in flower at our smallest nature reserve on the outskirts of Cheltenham.
  • Our Walk for Wildlife is back and bigger than ever taking place on July 2nd at Crickley Hill country park - we are planning a great walk with far-reaching views and can't wait to see you there!
