GWT launches new funding for community groups involved in conservation projects

Community groups are now eligible to apply for funding for conservation projects in Gloucestershire, thanks to the launch of the new My Wild Space Fund. The small grant scheme is administered through Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust on behalf of Gloucestershire Environmental Trust
(GET) to community groups who wish to help directly with biodiversity conservation on publicly accessible sites in the county.

Community groups, including parish councils will be eligible to apply for grants of between £750 to £5,000 to help cover project costs such as professional contractors and materials for permanent features like ponds or fencing.

Only My Wild Space applicants will have the expert guidance of a Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust Community Wildlife Officer to make sure the project meets funding requirements, in return for 10% of any successful grant.
