Nature Tots in the Forest of Dean

Location: Various locations in the Forest of Dean

Opportunity type:

Available: Weekdays

Frequency: Weekly

Duration: From 31/01/2018 to 01/01/2020

Next year we will be launching our first Nature Tots group in the Forest of Dean and we need volunteers to help run this under 5s children programme

Nature Tots is a Forest School programme which has been developed specifically for pre-school age children, those under 5. The programme provides opportunities for children to experience and learn from nature through hands-on outdoor activities all themed around wildlife.

Sessions provide children with the opportunity to work together, solve problems, be creative and encourage independent learning.

We are recruiting volunteers to help us lead these sessions. The sessions will take place weekly at various locations across the Dean allowing families from all areas the opportunity to take part. Each session will last for a couple of hours and run during the week, normally outside. We are looking for volunteers who are confident in working with children under 5 who will be accompanied by their parents. Volunteers need to be happy working outdoors regardless of the weather conditions and able to assist with simple nature activities and craft.

We are looking for volunteers who are happy to be trained up to eventually lead the group. We will provide the appropriate training, equipment and supervision.
