Meet The Team

Will Masefield

Will is the Community Wildlife Officer with the Cotswold Rivers Living Landscape team. He came to the Trust in January 2011, having worked previously with Natural England and the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust in Jersey.

His current role involves engaging local volunteers, community groups and schoolchildren in the programme, which is a large part of what makes the scheme so exciting.

We believe that by inspiring local people to take charge of their own rivers and wildlife habitats, we can save the water vole, and other threatened river wildlife in the Cotswolds, from extinction.

Richard Spyvee

Richard is the team ecologist and has been with GWT for many years. His role involves advising farmers and landowners on Agri-environment Schemes. This includes providing assistance in applying for Higher Level Stewardship.

John Field

John is our Water Vole Officer and has been with us since 2007. His role involves water course surveys, habitat enhancements, provision of landowner advice and co-ordinating mink control.
