Alney Island Amble
Right on Gloucester’s doorstep, Alney Island Nature Reserve has seen a wide variety of uses over the years. Despite this, it has retained its landscape quality and a richness of wildlife that makes it well worth a visit.

Your guide, Meyrick, has been involved in managing the island for several years and will share insights into its history, management, and wildlife.

Distance: 4.5 km / 3 miles
Terrain: Part surfaced path, part grazed pasture. The ground may be uneven, so please wear appropriate footwear. Livestock may be present.

We want to keep these walks free. If you can no longer attend, please cancel as soon as possible so someone else can take your place. Many thanks!
