About the event

Badgeworth was GWT’s first ever nature reserve and is home to the rare adder's-tongue spearwort more commonly known as the ‘Badgeworth buttercup’.

Due to the rarity of the "Badgeworth Buttercup" the reserve is closed for the majority of the year to help preserve it.  Once a year we open the gates to this SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) and invite people to visit to learn more about this wonderful reserve and this rare flower.

Throughout the afternoon Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust staff and members of Badgeworth Management Committee  will be on hand to guide you around the site and answer any  questions and queries you may have about the buttercup and the site's history.

It is a drop in event so no need to pre-book but if you are able to then please do, as it helps us plan the day.
