Lights in the Bushes: Nighttime Glow Worm Walk
Location:
Robinswood Hill Country Park, Reservoir Road, Gloucester, GL46SX
There's nothing like seeing the bushes lit up with natural phosphorescence.
About the event
Glow-worms are only around for a small period of time in June and July so this is a rare chance to see them at Robinswood Hill.
The walk will start after sundown, leaving from the Main Building at 10pm. The exact route will be dictated by where glow-worms have recently been seen but we will endeavour to stay on the accessible path as much as possible.
As well as glow-worms we'll be keeping an eye (and ear) out for bats and other nocturnally active animals.
Did you know: Glow-worms are beetles not worms.
Did you know: The females are the ones with the glowing abdomen.
