About the event

Night-time at Crickley Hill. The sun has set. Light has faded. So there can't be much to see,can there? With the wonder of biofluorescence you will be amazed at the colours which greet you as you walk through the forest.

Biofluorescence is when an organism absorbs light at one light wave and emits it at another wavelength. Most of the emitted light is invisible to the naked eye. However with the right tools you can see the light and experience nature in a whole new way.

Using UV lights, David Atthowe will guide you through the woods experience the phenomena of biofluorescence. See leaves, trees, fungi, bugs and animals in a flurry of colours, different to how they appear in daylight.

On the 24th March we have 2 walks planned, one starting at 7pm, the other at 9pm. Each will last 90 minutes and take you on a journey around Crickley Hill, exploring the natural world from a new perspective.
