Across Gloucestershire and the UK, nature is being side-lined.
From weakened environmental safeguards to the soon-to-be-enacted Planning and Infrastructure Bill, the message is clear: nature pays the price. As it currently stands, vital protections for wildlife and wild places are being traded away for short-term political and economic gain.
We can’t let that go unchallenged.
Especially at a time when one in six UK species is at risk of extinction.
Now is the moment to show ministers that the public won’t stand by while nature is written out of the future.
