About the event

"Messing about in boats" is not just for the characters in The Wind in the Willows., now it can be for you too.

This is a chance to explore our SSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) resever Whelford Pools from the comfort of a canoe raft. And you don't even have to have canoed before to take part. (Swimming ability is required, just in case.)

Your rafts for the trip will be two canoes lashed together for greater stabilty and capacity. Each raft can hold up to 3 adults (Over 10 years old in this case) and 2 Under 10s.

Thamesway Canoe Club will be our experts for this trip, with a member of the club skippering each raft. We'll have a support craft with a wildlife expert in to guide you around the site.

Each day there are 4 voyages, 10am, 11.30am,2pm and 3.30pm
