Adam Smith

A Nature Recovery Network for Gloucestershire and the future shape of landscape scale restoration: an illustrated talk by Dr Juliet Hynes

Location: Catholic Church Hall, Cinder Hill, Coleford, Glos, GL16 8HN
Juliet, who is Nature Recovery Network Coordinator for GWT will talk to us about the fact that in an ever more intensively used and fragmenting landscape, nature conservation is moving away from the preservation of small isolated sites. Preservation is not enough and that we must aim for recovery at a landscape scale. Juliet will explain the process of mapping and assessing the current state of our ecological networks, the development of a vision for the future and how that vision might be achieved.
