The Severn Treescapes team are hosting a variety of free workshops, information events and site demonstration visits From Wye to Wyre, throughout the treescapes project area.

Orchards through the seasons

The Severn Treescapes project has teamed up with the Wye Valley National Landscape to run a series of workshops to increase confidence among landowners to plant and look after traditional orchards and fruit trees.

Planning and planting - 18 January - Huntley, Gloucestershire

Learn about formative pruning of young fruit trees. Care for young trees to enable them to achieve their full potential.

Learn how to rejuvenate your ancient fruit trees to retain them in your orchard for fruit and for wildlife.

Future workshops will cover grafting, surveying and recording, and produce (juicing/cider/perry and preserves).
All workshops will be rerun next season.
