About the event

Get buzzy making bee/bug hotels in the Summerfield Room at Robinswood Hill on the 28th  of May 2024. Our Welcome Desk and Admin Assistant, Cat Marfell will be talking you through how to make a bee/bug hotel using household recycling, in this case a humble tin can.

Three time slots are available and booking is necessary so we can make sure enough materials are provided on the day. The activity is available to take part in free of charge, although donations to Gloucestershire Wildlife Trusts work are always appreciated.

13:45 to 14:30 – 12 per session

14.45 to 15:30 – 12 per session

15:45 to 16:30 – 12 per session

Due to the type of activity and the materials being used containing sharp objects such as tin cans, scissors, secateurs the recommended ages are 6+. Younger children can take part at their parent/guardians’ discretion. You know your child best so please consider the suitability of the activity based on your own experience if your child’s capabilities.

Children need to be supervised at all times during this activity. Due to the size of the space being used, we recommend no more than 2 adults per child to attend.

Materials will be provided but you are welcome to go on a walk on ‘The Hill’ before or after the activity to discover other bits you may want to add to it e.g. leaves and sticks. Or bring your own decorations.
